A Message from Shelia Corn, Owner of Heaven Sent Helpers
The reason I decided to start my own home health business is because of my Mom, Sarah Sauls. When we launched Heaven Sent Helpers in 2010, Mom was 91 years old and lived independently at home.
While my brothers and sister and I worked during the day, Mom was lonely. As a family, we juggled doctors' appointments and shopping tasks, and after all the errands were done, we were really not able to spend much personal time with her.
We decided to get a personal care aide to come and sit with Mom two days a week, so she could have some social interaction and a little help with daily activities. She resisted at first, and then decided to accept the idea. Mom came to really enjoy spending time with her companion, who took her to appointments, lunch and shopping. As a family, we were able to appreciate our visits with her instead of struggling to keep up with a “to-do” list.
Mom has since passed, but I am so glad that she inspired me to be a part of making other people happy and helping families like us get back to enjoying their precious time together.
I promise that you will receive our full support and complete consideration in assessing your family's needs, and we will provide your loved ones with the same level of compassion that we would want our family members to receive. I invite you to give us a call to discuss your personal situation; we sincerely want to help!
