Questions And Answers

Heaven Sent Helpers (HSH) does not have a purchase contract, however we do ask that you sign a Service Plan & Agreement which provides details on the services that we will provide as well as the frequency of visits. The Service Plan agreement also contains details about the client’s functional limitations and objectives of care so that we can customize our services to meet your needs.

Our services may be cancelled at any time, with 72 hours’ advance notice of a scheduled visit with no charge. We reserve the right to charge for a scheduled visit if sufficient notice is not given.

The minimum requirement per service visit is 4 hours. We are available to schedule as needed, or, on a daily, weekly or bi-weekly frequency. We also offer 24-hour and overnight services.

After a Client Assessment and Consultation meeting with our Service Manager, a Helper is assigned to based on the skills, experience and training needed to best meet the needs of the client.

Our Personal Care service providers are Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs) and our Companionship Services providers are mature, professional and compassionate caregivers with impeccable references. Each of our team members maintains current CPR Basic certification and is required to successfully pass an internal competency test based on the National Association for Home Care and Hospice caregiver training standards and guidelines.

Your assigned caregiver is your primary provider and contact for issues regarding your care, and will be scheduled for all of your service visits as long as they are available. Should your caregiver not be available due to illness or vacation, we will have another HSH caregiver readily available to fill in.

Every caregiver has a current license and/or certificate (applies to Certified Nurse Assistants/CNAs only) and a clear criminal background check in accordance with Georgia state law. In addition, all of our caregivers are required to provide a comprehensive work history, including verified personal and professional references (previous employers, home care agencies, nursing homes, religious organizations, hospices, assisted living communities etc.). HSH is a drug-free organization, and conducts periodic drug screenings of all of our employees.

Every one to two weeks, our billing department reviews the notes your caregiver has submitted and bills you for your services. HSH accepts cash, money orders, checks, and major credit cards. A deposit for one week is required at the time of signing a service agreement.
